3. Who Can Submit a Complaint
A complaint may be submitted by:
The memorial creator
A family member or close relative
A legal guardian (where applicable)
A third party directly affected by the content
A legal representative acting on behalf of any of the above
We may request reasonable evidence to confirm standing.
4. Grounds for Content Removal or Review
We will review content where a complaint alleges that material is:
Inaccurate or misleading
Defamatory or damaging to reputation
Infringing privacy or data protection rights
Infringing copyright or intellectual property
Offensive, abusive, or inappropriate
Uploaded without lawful authority

5. How to Submit a Complaint

Clear description of the issue
Your relationship to the memorial (if applicable)
Any supporting evidence (where relevant)
Incomplete complaints may be delayed or rejected.
6. Our Review Process
Step 1 – Acknowledgement
We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.
Step 2 – Initial Assessment
We assess:
The nature of the complaint
Legal and privacy implications
Risk to individuals or the platform
Step 3 – Interim Action
Where content appears potentially unlawful or high-risk, we may:
Temporarily restrict access
Hide or remove content while under review
This does not imply wrongdoing.
Step 4 – Decision
We may:
Take no action
Edit or restrict content
Remove specific content
Remove the entire memorial
Suspend or terminate accounts
Our decision is final unless required otherwise by law.
7. Disputed or Defamatory Content
Where content is disputed:
We do not act as a court or arbitrator
We may request clarification or evidence
We may remove content to minimise legal risk
We reserve the right to remove content without adjudicating factual disputes.
8. Children’s Memorials
Complaints relating to memorials for children are treated with heightened sensitivity.
Where lawful authority or consent is unclear, we may remove content as a
precautionary measure.
9. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content infringes copyright, please provide:
Proof of ownership
The specific content complained of
A statement that the complaint is made in good faith
False or abusive claims may result in account action.
10. Repeat or Abusive Complaints
We reserve the right to:

Suspend accounts
Ignore repeated or vexatious complaints

11. No Guarantee of Content Retention
We do not guarantee permanent hosting of memorial content.
